Our Detroit District has announced there has been a 24-hour extension for downbound vessels to pass through the Soo Locks. Boats leaving their Lake Superior ports by midnight the 15th will be allowed to lock through. Pictured here is the downbound Edwin H. Gott on her way to Ecorse, MI with 59,076 tons of taconite.
